Those who want to feel the age-old story told by each branch of olive trees – the pearl of earth – come together. We wear our shalwar, prepare a bundle filled with homemade bread, gravy and olives to appease when hungry and take the road. The only rule in this festival is to be crowded and we manually collect olives from the trees singing songs. Harvest festival has become a ritual for us and who attend it feels the spirit of Akkızhan Farm.
